Storm Safety
Tropical Depression 5 has passed us here in SW FL and decided to grace the LA coast with its bad weather. Many people here in SW FL tend to not worry as much about tropical storms / depressions, until they reach hurricane status. This is ill advised because a tropical depression, which is only the next stage up from a large thunderstorm, can still bring heavy rains, and flash floods with it. If streets are closed due to flooding from a tropical depression, do you have everything you need to sustain you and your family for a few days? Its best to be prepared in advance for ANY type of weather emergency, that way you will not have to venture out for supplies during an emergency.
